What next!?!?!

Many days and months have passed sence my last entry. My Dad is doing really great and has recovered from his major surgery. He did have replacement of the aorta coming down out of the kidneys. They sent him home way too soon and we almost ended up loosing him to a heart attack and dehydration. After the second time in the hospital he left there much stronger! He is now able to go back to work and he is driving again!

On June 6th 2009 my oldest son Russell had a motorcycle accident which has left him paralized! He is currently down at Madonna Rehab Center in Lincoln, Ne. He is making great progress. We are anxously awaiting the return of his arms! They are getting stronger every day. Russ's wife Dionne stays the nights here with him, except for Tuesday and Friday nights. Russ's dad stays those nights.

PET Scan for Dad

Today is another test. I am not going with my folks today. In fact I have to get ready to go to work. The test today is to check for cancer any where in his body! Pretty nerve racking to say the least.
We won't know anything until tomorrow.

Life is good

Dad's time in the hospital on Tuesday turned out to be a good day. He has no blockage in his heart!!!
Today he went to see another Doctor about the mass in his chest. He will have that procedure done soon, we just don't know when. They are going to biopsy the mass. We are hoping it is scar tissue from his open heart surgery that he had 15 years ago. Depending on what they find will determine when they will go and fix the anurisum (sp) in his Aorta...It is going to be a long summer.....

Up date on Dad

Today we are going to see my dad's Doctor. We have found out that he does indeed have another blockage in his heart....he goes into the hospital this up coming Tuesday, and they are going to try to put a stent in. If that does not work, then he is looking at open heart surgery.
After we get the heart sorted out, then they will put him on some really good blood thinners, so that they can fix his aorta.....that will be about 6 weeks out....it is going to be a long summer.

My Dad

This past week end was a hard one for me and my Family. My Dad became ill, and it all boils down to this...No heart attack, just a major panic attack, but with the testing that was done he has a mass in his chest that they have to biopsy, and he has an Aortic anuresm (sp). We are meeting with the Doctor this Thursday and we will then be informed as to what and when it will all be done....My nerves are a bit wiggy to say the least....

Season's Greetings! I hope this finds you all well and happy at this time of year...We will be having 20 guests over for dinner tomorrow....I really do enjoy cooking for a group! There will be so much laughter and joy in the house. Lots of little kids having a fun time.

My first Blog

I am hoping to be able to chat with some of my friends who have blogs...

I am currently getting ready for the Holidays. I think I have finished my baking and I am hoping that my kids won't eat everything before Santa arrives!!!

I love this time of year! I love the snow and all the smells of the season! This year I feel like it has taken me back to my own child hood with Grandparents and family...I had an Uncle who always came for Christmas Eve Dinner. He smoked a cigar, and I can still smell the cigar smoke at times.

This year we are Thankful for our health and our employment. I will be starting a new job on the 29th of December, and for that I am Thankful.

I would love to hear from friends this time of year....
